How to enable PayPal debug mode in WooCommerce

Problems with WooCommerce and PayPal? Do payments not get recorded? If PayPal shows faulty behaviour in combination with WooCommerce i.e. WooCommerce Subscriptions, then your first move should be to enable PayPal debug mode in your settings.

The debug mode collects vital data for troubleshooting. Navigate to

/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=checkout&section=wc_gateway_paypal

and activate the PayPal debug mode like so:
